Live demo session at the 17th Annual SSK conference

The Annals of African Surgery has recently adapted an online manuscript submission system(ScholarOne).
The aim is to make the submission of manuscripts by authors efficient; expediting manuscript processing while maintaining high levels of quality in our publications.

Three months down the line we have seen a greater number of manuscripts submitted per week with a more fulfilling author-editorial team interaction. However, we have received feedback concerning the complexity of the manuscript submission. It is in this regard that the editorial team moved to have a live demonstration session during the 17th Annual scientific conference and Annual general Meeting at the Acacia Premier hotel, Kisumu

The session covers: an outline of manuscript processing (admin checklist, reviewer allocation, editorial team decision and batch allocation) and a practical demonstration of manuscript submission (creation of author account, submission, common challenges)
