Dr. Prem Yohannan joins the AAS Editorial Board/Advisors

Dr. Prem Yohannan studied at the Armed Forces Medical College, University of Pune, India, from where he completed his MBBS degree in 1996. After a couple of years working as a general practitioner, he did his Masters degree in Orthopaedic Surgery at the King George’s Medical College, Lucknow. At the turn of the millennium, he volunteered to work in Mozambique. He currently works for the Ministry of Health, Government of Mozambique as a senior Specialist Surgeon and teaches at the Eduardo Mondlane School of Medicine. His interests are in Joint Replacements, Trauma surgery and Surgical Education. He is working towards the establishment of a Trauma and Calamity hospital in Mozambique. He represents Mozambique on the COSECSA Council and examines on behalf of the College. He is the first editorial board member from the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
