The Annals of Surgery editorial team has organised an authorship workshop to take place in Kigali,Rwanda on 5th of December during the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COCECSA) conference.
WHO TO ATTEND, Authorship Workshop This workshop is meant for those who have done some research (dissertation/thesis) or have raw clinical data and still have difficulties writing up their findings in a publishable manuscript format. Surgeons and Surgical Trainees are especially encouraged to attend.
AIMS OF THE COURSE The course is aimed at helping investigators acquire skills and develop strategic means to communicate with the broad scientific community and, in particular, to publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. A team of surgeon scientists/educators will assist the participants to transform bulky scientific work such as a thesis or raw clinical data, by going through a step-by-step process, into a scientific manuscript suitable for publication.
